1. General provisions
Solidaroba.ge (the "site") is a service portal operated by a private company. It offers patients and their families document translation, certification, legal consultation, organisational and logistics services, as well as free information guides. The site operator is not a medical institution, does not hold a licence for medical activity and does not employ anyone to provide medical services through the site.
By using the site, including reading the guides, filling in a form or ordering a service, you confirm that you have read this document and agree to it. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The information is not medical advice
All material on the site, including guides, articles, frequently asked questions, descriptions of documents, overviews of countries and clinics, timelines and prices, is provided for general information and educational purposes only. This information does not constitute, and must not be taken as, medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, a second opinion or a recommendation of any particular clinic, doctor, procedure or medicine.
Any decision about your health, including starting, stopping or changing treatment, taking a medicine, or choosing a clinic or a country, should be made only after consulting a licensed doctor who knows your medical history. Never disregard a doctor's advice or delay seeing a doctor because of something you have read on this site.
3. No doctor-patient relationship is created
Using the site, filling in a form, uploading a document or communicating with our staff, an interpreter, a lawyer or a coordinator does not create a doctor-patient relationship and gives rise to no duty of medical care. Our staff, including editors with a medical background, do not practise medicine through the site, do not make diagnoses and do not prescribe treatment.
If one of our staff touches on a medical matter while talking to you, this is only for organisational or linguistic context (for example, which document a clinic needs) and must not be taken as a medical assessment.
4. Emergencies
The site and its services, including the arrangement of medical air charters and logistics for critically ill patients, are not an emergency medical service. In a life-threatening or rapidly worsening condition, call 112 immediately or go to the nearest emergency department. We become involved in organisational matters only after the patient has already received medical care and doctors have assessed their condition as fit for transport.
5. Translation and documents
Translating a medical document is a language service: the translator renders the content of the original in the target language with terminological accuracy, but does not check, assess or confirm that the diagnosis, prescription, dosage or medical conclusion in the original is correct. Notarisation certifies the translator's signature, not the medical content of the document.
If the original contains an error, the translation will contain it too. Interpreting a translated document medically and making decisions based on it is solely the responsibility of the treating doctor. We accept no liability for decisions that a medical institution or a patient makes on the basis of a translated document, except where the harm is caused by a proven linguistic error in the translation.
6. Clinics and partners
Treatment, diagnostics, medical transport, nursing care and other services of a medical nature are always provided by third parties: clinics, doctors, licensed air carriers, nurses. These parties are not employees or representatives of the site operator; they work under their own licences and are independently responsible for the quality and outcome of the medical services.
Finding a clinic and a doctor, obtaining a cost estimate and handling communication are organisational services. We try to select institutions with experience relevant to the diagnosis, but we do not guarantee the outcome of treatment, that a clinic will keep to the timelines it has given, or that a clinic's cost estimate is final. The treatment contract is concluded between the patient and the clinic.
7. Accuracy and updating of information
We prepare our guides with due care, legal content is checked by a lawyer, and every page shows the date of its last update. Even so, legislation, the terms of state programmes, the procedures of public bodies, and clinic prices and timelines change all the time. We do not guarantee that the information on the site is complete, accurate and up to date at any given moment, and we do not undertake to reflect every change immediately.
Unless stated otherwise on the page, prices and timelines are indicative. Only the written offer for a specific order is binding.
8. External links
The site may contain links to the websites of state bodies, clinics, funds, partner organisations and other third parties. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control the content of these pages, do not endorse them and are not responsible for the information, services or privacy practices found there.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operator, its staff, partner organisations (including Advocat.Ge and the translation bureau) and their representatives are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, information on the site, from the acts or omissions of third parties (clinics, doctors, carriers, public bodies), or from the site being temporarily unavailable.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Georgian law, including damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or to the contractual liability for the quality of services we perform ourselves (translation, legal consultation, arrangements).
10. Changes and contact
We reserve the right to change this document. A new version takes effect from the moment it is published on the site, with the date shown at its top. We post a notice of material changes on the site's home page. For questions about this document, contact us through the contact page. The rules for processing personal data are set out in a separate document, the privacy policy.
